Paying for Your Pet’s Care
South Loop Animal Hospital offers several options to pay for health care services. If you have payment questions, please contact us at (312) 753-5551 before your visit.
Payment is required at the time that services are rendered for all routine visits (including annual/illness exams, lab work, food and medication pick-ups).
For all surgeries and hospitalizations, a 50% deposit may be required at the time of drop-off. The remaining balance will be paid upon the animal’s release.

Please note: there is a $25 fee for all returned checks. We are unable to accept held or post-dated checks.

Pet Health Insurance
At South Loop Animal Hospital, we advise our clients to invest in pet insurance to help them afford health care for their pet family members. Your pet insurance company will not provide payment directly to South Loop Animal Hospital. Rather, you will be required to pay in full at the time of your visit and submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement. We will be happy to assist you in completing your claim form.
